By continuing to support excellent causes both locally and nationally, we hope to make a real difference to people and communities across the country.

Our focus

Our charitable commitments take three forms:

  • We work with a national partner – currently Cancer Research UK – raising money for this charity across all of our divisions.
  • We work locally – each of our divisions has a charity budget to support organisations and community causes in their local area.
  • We work with our employees – we match any funds raised outside of work, for good causes close to their hearts.

National – Cancer Research UK

Since beginning our partnership with CRUK in 2016, we have provided donations through fundraising initiatives across our divisional and group offices.


Now, thanks to the phenomenal efforts of our employees, contractors, and suppliers, we’ve managed to meet and exceed our 2024 goal of raising £4 million – hitting a total of £4,142,621.17.

We have now set the ambitious target of raising that number to £5 million for 2025, and have already planned plenty of events to help us reach that goal. 


From national charity day events to employees entering the Paris and Amsterdam marathons, we've got some exciting plans for 2025. 

Local support

Each of our 20 divisions has a charity budget, which they use to support organisations and community groups in their local areas. The company has a charity committee that can also donate funds to good causes that apply for assistance.

As a North East company we are proud to work with the Community Foundation, which covers Tyne and Wear, and Northumberland, and with the Greggs Foundation Breakfast Club Programme. Through this programme we financially support the breakfast club of a local school, with Bellway volunteers regularly visiting the club to help out and engage with pupils.
