There are a number of well-regarded schools in the local area. For young children these include Crookhill Community Primary School, around 10 minutes’ walk away, St Mary and St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Primary School, and Ryton Infant and Junior schools, all around 20 minutes’ walk away. Thorp Academy, 20 minutes’ walk away, St Thomas More Catholic School, less than 10 minutes’ drive away and Whickham School, around 15 minutes away by car, cater for older students. For day-to-day essentials there are several shops – supermarkets and independents – along Main Road in Ryton, a short walk from the development.

The nearest railway station is Blaydon, under two miles away. From there trains run to the Metrocentre, Newcastle (journey time around 15 minutes), Hexham and Carlisle, among other destinations. Mainline services connect at Newcastle Central Station.
