For everyday supplies, the town centre features a post office, butcher, and grocery superstores, reachable in a five-minute drive from the planned development, as well as an Italian eatery. Neighbouring Cumbernauld Village, three miles away, provides a public house and Italian, grill, and Indian restaurants.

The University of the West of Scotland locally offers a higher education partnership with New College Lanarkshire, while The University of Strathclyde and Glasgow Caledonian University are both a 20-minute drive away. A little further afield, The University of Glasgow is just over 16 miles away.
