Metropolitan points of interest are found in central Manchester 13 miles away, with Liverpool and Leeds city centres both reachable in around an hour’s drive.

Leigh boasts a well-stocked high street, filled with independent businesses as well as popular chain retailers. Leigh indoor and outdoor markets supply a wide range of goods throughout the week. Spinning Gate Shopping Centre is centrally situated, with visitors benefitting from around 40 stores ranging from fashion to health and beauty. The Trafford Centre – a nationally renowned shopping destination – is 11 miles away, and features an exceptional selection of retail stores and eateries. Manchester city centre is accessible in just under 40 minutes, with independent stores and high street favourites. Everyday necessities can be acquired at a convenient superstore a mile away.

For dining, the town has an appealing selection of cafes, pubs, and restaurants. The neighbouring town of Tyledesley, an 11-minute drive away, offers Italian, Turkish, and sought-after takeaways. Culcheth, a 10-minute drive away, features a bar and grill, a Polish restaurant, and a Thai eatery.

Moss Bank Gardens has an excellent selection of nearby education options for all ages. The closest primary school to the homes is Bedford Hall Methodist Primary School just a three-minute walk away, with St. Thomas C of E Primary School an 11-minute walk away. A little further out, Leigh Central Primary School is an 8-minute drive away.

Children of secondary school age in the local area attend Bedford High School a mile away, and The Westleigh School and Atherton High School, both of which are a 10-minute drive away.

Those interested in further education benefit from Leigh College a nine-minute drive away, and Bolton College nine-and-a-half miles away.

The development is well-situated for universities, with easy access to Manchester, Liverpool, and Leeds. The University of Salford is around 11-and-a-half miles away, and The University of Manchester and Manchester Metropolitan University are both half an hour’s drive away. Commuters are well-served by a fantastic road network, with easy access to the A580, the M6, and M52, allowing for local travel and journeys across the country.

Hope Carr Road bus stop is just half a mile away, with convenient links to Leigh bus station and Warrington Interchange. From Leigh Bus station, commuters can travel to Wigan, Manchester Piccadilly Gardens, and The Trafford Centre among others. Warrington Bus Station provides well-established routes to Manchester Airport and the surrounding area.

For national and international journeys, Manchester Airport and Liverpool John Lennon Airport are both conveniently around half an hour’s drive away. Leeds Bradford airport is an hour and 15 minutes’ drive away, with Birmingham airport an hour and 40 minutes’ drive away.
