Lower Callerton is close to plenty of indoor and outdoor places of interest, ensuring that homeowners at The View at Abbey Heights are well-catered for. Rail travel via the Tyne and Wear Metro is also available. Three Metro stations are within a 10-minute drive; Bank Foot, Kingston Park, and Callerton Parkway. From Callerton Parkway, Newcastle Central is just over 20 minutes away and from here, travellers can board connections across the UK. LNER, Cross Country, and TransPennine all run services from the station alongside local routes offered by Northern.
