For sports fans, Aintree Racecourse is roughly three miles, while both Anfield and Goodison Park are under a 25-minute drive away, meaning residents can enjoy Premier League football throughout the football season.
Liverpool is also home to an abundance of art galleries, museums, and other attractions, including the Royal Albert Dock.
Everyday essentials can be easily picked up from one of several supermarkets in Lydiate, with a well-known option less than a five-minute drive away from the development.
For further retail therapy, there are a host of high-street stores and independent shops in the nearby town of Maghull – where the locally known Square would be your first stop.
There are also several shopping centres and retail parks within driving distance, including Hattersley Retail Park and Aintree Shopping Park. Liverpool itself also has a plethora of stores to browse, and is only 10 miles away.
Travel throughout the area is quick and easy, with the convenient roadlinks and transport networks available in Lydiate.
The development’s location only two miles away from junction 1 of the M58 means that residents of Lydiate Gate have direct access to Liverpool, Preston, and many other local towns and cities. Liverpool city centre is just a 30-minute drive, while St Helens and Wigan are roughly 25 minutes away by car.
As an alternative, Maghull train station is two miles away from the development, and offers services travelling into Liverpool and Ormskirk.
Perfectly located for families, Lydiate Gate boasts wonderful access to a variety of highly regarded schools – covering everything from primary school right through to university.
St Thomas C of E Primary School is less than half a mile away from the development, while several other options are also within walking distance, including St Gregory’s Catholic Primary School and Lydiate Primary and Nursery School – which are both only a little over 10 minutes away on foot.
There are also a handful of secondary schools in the area, such as Deyes High School, which can be reached within a five-minute drive of Lydiate Gate.
Students looking at higher education have two options within driving distance: Edge Hill University and the University of Liverpool, which are 10 minutes’ drive away and 30 minutes’ drive, respectively.
