Living room in The Kinloch house type

A great place to call home

Location continues to be the leading driver for house buyers in Scotland, especially for the new residents at Bellway’s Winchburgh Grange development. Just twelve miles from Edinburgh, Winchburgh is an ambitious regeneration project which has quickly established as a new destination to live and work.

Winchburgh Grange features a choice of superb 1 and 2-bedroom apartments, alongside stunning 3 and 4-bedroom homes homes.

Family on my doorstep

David Cartwright was one of the first residents to receive his keys joining his daughter Lucy, and her family who were also one of the original residents to move into Bellway’s first development in the village.

Commenting on the move, David says: “I’ve been visiting the area since my daughter first moved here two years ago and loved it. Over the last few months, I began to feel that my existing garden was getting too big to manage and it was maybe time to consider a move but didn’t for a minute think that Winchburgh would be in my price range.

“When I saw the apartments were available, I started to think that it might be doable and within a few months I was downsizing and had moved in. I’m in a lovely ground floor apartment and my grandchildren are regular visitors which is great. I’m very happy here.”

Winchburgh local area
I’m really enjoying the location and the quick commute to work.”

The perfect location

The sentiment is echoed by neighbours, Cara Chapman and Catriona MacDonald, who were both renting in Edinburgh before separately becoming first-time buyers at Winchburgh.

Catriona says: “I work in South Gyle and was keen to find a location that was close to work and Winchburgh was exactly what I needed. I’m really enjoying the location and the quick commute to work.”

Cara adds: “Winchburgh is just a ten minute commute to my work at the Gyle. I was struggling to afford a property that offered the same space as Bellway offered at Winchburgh and it has turned out to be ideal.”
